Does Culture Eat Strategy for Breakfast?
Dr Ruth Knight – Research Fellow, The Australian Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies
Organisations are experiencing a fast pace of change, as they seek to become more strategic and customer-centric. It is more important than ever for not-for-profit leaders to create and nurture an organisational culture that creates a balance between efficiency, achieving goals and getting the job done, and the traditional not-for-profit values of community service, connecting and caring. Getting the culture right, leads to higher employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
In this session Dr Ruth Knight from Queensland University of Technology will explore why more organisations are creating a culture strategy, and what cultural values have a positive effect on a not-for-profit workforce experiencing change.
